The Enigma of Foo Fighters

During the latter years of WWII, military pilots began reporting sightings of strange luminous objects that followed their aircraft for miles.  Although numerous reports of Foo Fighters were recorded by both Allied and Axis pilots, nobody has ever explained what they were.
